DEUTZ at InnoTrans 2014

 DEUTZ AG will be exhibiting for the first time at InnoTrans, the international trade fair for transport technology, from 23 to 26 September this year, where it will provide its customers with information on its entire range of new engines, installation advice and services.

 

The company will be showcasing its powerful TCD 12.0 as a representative of its new generation of engines in the power output range up to 390kW. This water-cooled six-cylinder internal combustion engine covers the upper end of the power range up to 390kW and is turbocharged and charge air cooled. Intended to be used for high loads, it offers impressively robust design combined with unrivalled compact construction. Superior engine performance and low fuel consumption are guaranteed by the powerful common-rail injection system in conjunction with electronic engine control (EMR 4) that is intelligently linked to the engine management system. Because the engine and exhaust aftertreatment are designed for optimum efficiency of the system as a whole, they ensure that fuel costs and overall operating expenses are kept to a minimum. SCR technology ensures that the radiator surfaces do not have to be any larger than those for Tier 3 engines, thereby cutting fuel consumption. In addition, the exhaust aftertreatment system is totally maintenance-free.

 

 

As a full-line engine specialist, DEUTZ offers a broad spectrum of liquid-cooled and aircooled engines with capacities ranging from 25 kW to 520 kW. Especially the compact and flat V- engines TCD 12.0 and 16.0 are used worldwide in applications such as railcars, small shunting locomotives, multi-engine systems on main-line locomotives and in track construction equipment. In addition to their robust design, they boast impressively light weight, high power density, and durability.
